Personal Development Through Horticulture
A different way of learning…
![]()
This is a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.
The course aims to give students a basic grounding in horticulture alongside an exploration of personal interaction.
Weekly teaching sessions at Exeter CVS are enhanced by fortnightly practical days at OrganicArts along with field trips to venues such as the Eden Project.

PDTH update
The next course starts on 27th February and runs through to 19th June.
Many of the previous students have offered us an insight into where the course has taken them, this includes full and part time courses at Bicton College, Princes Trust training, full and part time work and some very interesting voluntary roles to name but a few.
The course seems to have had a positive impact on all who complete it.
Here's hoping that 2012 will have similar results.

Latest News...
All seven students from the autumn program have successfully passed the course.
These green-fingered graduates had a busy term, learning from each other as well as from the course itself, and the Great Day Out at The Eden Project provided some extra training in the form of a speed-skating team-building extravanganza. On ice.
We will all meet up again on 21st February for the official certificate presentation, and will be joined by Katherine Evans from project funders Ecominds.
