About the Courses

Courses range from half day workshops to 16 week full national qualifications. Each workshop or course has its own individual course outline which you will find when you click on the title of the course.

We believe that all individuals have the right to learn and develop to reach their potential so we spend a lot of time planning and developing the courses we offer.

Many of our courses are subsidised which enables us to offer them at reduced prices. However it may be necessary for you to complete additional paperwork at the start of the course.

Catering

As part of our continuing development of facilities we are offering FREE lunches on some one day courses. Find the  symbol. Fairtrade tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day. In addition, Exeter CVS is situated within easy walking distance of cafes, supermarkets and bakeries.

Booking

Once you have found a course that you are interested in and looked at the course outline, follow the quick and easy steps to booking online. Please note, a separate booking form must be completed for each person and each course.

When we receive your booking, we will send you an automatic e-mail receipt. A member of staff will then confirm your place on the course, forwarding a confirmation letter and a map of directions to the venue.

Access

Exeter CVS is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Please notify our staff of any special requirements although Exeter CVS can not guarantee to meet all learners’ needs.

Training Toys

Research has shown that many people learn better when they have things to fiddle with. Training toys were introduced to a number of courses in 2008 and on all occasions have been greeted with enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Cancelation Terms

If you are unable to attend the training course you may send someone in your place or:

• More than two weeks notice - full refund less £10 administration charge
• Less than two weeks notice - full amount payable

Exeter CVS reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses and a full refund will be offered. In the event of a course being cancelled, at least 7 days' notice will be given, unless circumstances are beyond our control.

Please note that in the event of a course being cancelled on the day Exeter CVS is unable to reimburse an organisation's staff cover costs.
