Introduction to Volunteering

A volunteer is someone who provides their time, skills, experience and expertise for no financial reward. During the workshop you will explore why people decide to volunteer and the various volunteering opportunities that are available in your comuunity.

Communication Skills

This short, free course will help you get to grips with the basics you need to get going online. You will be able to come into our online learning suite and have one-to-one sessions with our friendly volunteer tutors to help support you through your learning experience. You can learn at your own pace and complete one unit at a time week by week or alternatively after your first initial session with us here at Exeter CVS you could complete the course in your own time at home!

(8-day course) Fridays
This accreidted NOCN L1 course is suitable for anyone looking for a basic understanding of how to use a computer.
Aim:
This 8-day
course from NOCN provides an opportunity to get to grips with learning how to use a computer and having the opportunity to create documents in Microsoft Word and setting up and using Email. The course will involve building a portfolio of
evidence within the classroom sessions. There are not any exams or tests within this programme.
Employability Skills Level 2 Certificate
18 week course, term time 2 Feb-28 Jun (SureStart, Beacon Heath)
10:00-14:00
This qualification has been developed to provide learners with the recognition of a range of employability skills whilst at the same time building confidence and motivation to seek, and sustain meaningful employment.
The course aims to provide learners with transferrable works skills that can be applied in a wide range of occupations and sectors.
"Level 2 Certificate in Employability" is accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN) as a recognised qualification.
The course includes 8 NOCN-accredited units. The total number of 'credits' for this qualification is 13, and can count towards a higher qualification in the future.
